It is so helpful having the words appear on the screen in exact sync with the lecture. Although the voice quality is excellent on TedTalks, I find that as a hearing-impaired senior, I am grateful to read the words I miss, especially if the speaker has an accent or unusual cadence. Additionally, the technical, scientific words are often multi-syllabic and unfamiliar, so subtext is the perfect solution for both the hearing impaired as well as the the non-impaired listener. Bravo!
